Three distinct roof profiles define the structure: a traditional pitched roof at the front, a contemporary mono-pitch at the rear, and a parapet flat roof connecting them. Inside, a splayed corridor leads into a light-filled open-plan living space, where subtle level changes and varied ceiling heights create distinct zones without partitions.
A large south-facing clerestory window floods the interior with natural light, while private courtyards offer outdoor living despite the constrained site. The first floor houses a secluded master suite, overlooking a dramatic double-height entrance space.
This innovative design exceeded the client’s expectations, transforming a neglected garage into a sophisticated, modern home that feels far larger than its footprint suggests.
