Ballymore Split Level/ Full Architectural Service Studio

Set on a steeply sloped site with a complex planning history, this project required an innovative design approach to secure approval. RSDS Architects developed a split-level home that appears as a modest single-storey dwelling from the front yet opens into a striking two-storey volume at the rear, following the land’s natural contours.

Inspired by traditional Irish architecture, the design features strong gable walls, simple forms, and a restrained material palette. A standout element is the cantilevered corner window in the master bedroom, framing panoramic views of the Wicklow Mountains and introducing a contemporary touch to the otherwise vernacular-inspired home.

Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industry's standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged. It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum.
