Kerry House/ Full Architectural Service Studio
This new-build family home in rural Kerry is designed to maximise its exceptional views while blending into its countryside setting. The house comprises a series of pitched-roof forms arranged around a private courtyard-style garden to the rear. This layout creates sheltered south- and west-facing outdoor spaces, ideal for enjoying long evenings and panoramic views over the surrounding landscape.
The external palette is refined yet robust, combining crisp white render, natural stone cladding, and dark timber-effect finishes to clearly define the different wings of the house. Large-format glazing throughout frames key views while allowing light to flood the interior. A central two-storey volume, finished in a deep charcoal tone, anchors the house and provides a vertical contrast to the single-storey wings. This space accommodates circulation and additional bedrooms upstairs.
Internally, the layout is carefully zoned, with living areas opening directly onto the courtyard terrace, and more private spaces located in quieter wings. The design balances contemporary style with rural references and creates a welcoming, light-filled home with strong visual and physical connections to the Kerry landscape.
